Coaches the Lone Jack high school wrestling team and fights for his faith and "the people in my life that work nine to fives, that bust their ass every day... show them that a guy from a little town in Missouri can go out and do big things." Camp discipline: "If it's not compatible with camp, I don't do it." Sponsor: Harryup Couriers (KC/STL — Danny and Julia). Updated from FAC 35 prefight interview (full transcript) + tale of the tape, 7/24-25/26. [Interview 2026-10-18] Long took his Synergy FC 33 bout on about two and a half weeks' notice, so it is at 170 instead of his usual 155, where he plans to return. His nickname dates to his amateur days at Glory MMA, where training partner Grant Dawson called him "the bully" for always moving forward in sparring. He says a knee injury he fought through for two to three years was behind a four-fight losing streak; after surgery he considered stepping away and came back because of the Lone Jack high school wrestlers he coaches, deciding to "lead from the front." He works in the plumbing industry and says he grew up around blue-collar trades. Profile information last updated October 2026, from an MMA Futures interview ahead of Synergy FC 33.
