Colin Reed
Colin "Relentless" Reed fights for the 135 lb amateur kickboxing title at Crash Combat 8. A Kansas City, Missouri native, he tells his own story plainly: in and out of the juvenile system from the age of twelve, and shot at sixteen as a result of the life he was living. The next year he walked into a boxing gym, and that is where things turned. "It's humbled me a lot," he says. "Taught me a lot of lessons on life." He has carried a couple of ring names over the years — Ruthless, now Relentless — though he has never actually walked out to one. Interviewed from the gym mid-camp, he was blunt about the work: "I can't skip no days." His mindset going in is uncomplicated: get back in the ring, and have fun.
